WASHINGTON – American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) President and CEO Donna Harman and American Wood Council (AWC) President and CEO Robert Glowinski issued the following statement regarding the Trump administration’s memorandum directing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to review its polices for implementing the National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) program. The memo, signed by President Donald Trump today, promotes timely, efficient and successful implementation of air quality standards and permits.

AF&PA, AWC Call for Regulatory Transparency at House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Hearing

WASHINGTON – In testimony before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, the American Forest & Paper Association and American Wood Council called for federal agencies to implement stronger good guidance practices and benefit-cost analysis to ensure agency guidance and regulations do more good than harm. WASHINGTON – American Wood Council (AWC) President and CEO Robert Glowinski and American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) President and CEO Donna Harman issued the following statements following United States House of Representatives passage of the Ozone Standards Implementation Act of 2017 (H.R. 806). The legislation, which now moves to the United States Senate for consideration, prevents a rushed implementation of the 2015 ozone Nation Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS).

The bill aims to modernize the process federal agencies use when they write the regulations that most significantly affect the lives of all Americans. It was introduced by Sens.
